Fighting 'Microfiber Pollution' with a meter fabric at a time
What is Microfiber Pollution?
Synthetic materials such as polyester, acrylic, and nylon are very popular and used in different forms worldwide. When manufactured, washed, used, and worn, these man-made materials lose tiny plastic fibres as small as 5mm.
hey eventually up in the ocean, soil and the air, and as made up of plastic, are unable to biodegrade.
Recent research proves that we are eating and drinking plastic and that plastic fibres are literally raining down from the sky. We breathe in plastic microfibers from our clothing, carpets, curtains & other textiles.
The consequences of ubiquitous microfiber pollution might be disastrous to animals and humans.
